Global Medical Relief
Fund – Children
GMRF
Children is committed to bring hope and help
to children who are missing or have lost the
use of their limbs, have been severely
burned, or are otherwise damaged due to the
atrocities of war, natural disaster or
illness. Reaching out locally and worldwide,
GMRF helps children in desperate need, with
little or no resources, in order to better
their condition. Working with Shriners
Hospital for Children, they are fitted with
prosthetic limbs, and receive necessary
medical and/or surgical care. While it is
often impossible to fully restore the
child’s physical condition, they can regain
self-sufficiency and optimism for the
future. Learn more

Leukemia & Lymphoma
Society.
It
is part of our Savvy Skirts
mission to
help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We
lost a very close Girlfriend, Vicki, to
lymphoma in 2003 and our lives will never
quite be the same.
Savvy Skirts wants to support finding a cure
to these horrible blood cancers. In doing
so, we have joined Partners for Cancer Cures
with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).
In memory of Vicki and other families
affected by leukemia & lymphoma, Savvy
Skirts will continue to make contributions
to the LLS.

Cook Children's Health Care System
Nikie from After the
Rayne:
"I've
been following
Julian Avery.
A sweet, little 4 1/2 year old boy. He was
diagnosed Mar 7, 2007. He just passed away
January 24, 2008. Although I never knew his
family, I just happened to stumble upon his
mom's blog
and continued to read it. She still writes
even afterwards as she needs to and I still
read. There are so many children with these
brain cancers and they are trying fervently
to find a cure."

Jude is unlike any other pediatric treatment
and research facility anywhere. Discoveries
made here have completely changed how the
world treats children with cancer and other
catastrophic diseases.
All patients
accepted for treatment at St. Jude are

BestFriends
Amy
from
Charming Sam
Studios:
Best Friends is working with individuals --
and with humane groups all across the
country -- to bring about a time when there
are No More Homeless Pets.
The sanctuary, at the heart of Southern
Utah's Golden Circle of national parks, is
home, on any given day, to about 1,500 dogs,
cats, horses, rabbits, birds and other
animals.
