I spent years so self-conscious about my super long toes that I wore closed-toed shoes all the time, even in the summer—in Texas!  Now that I’ve stopped that silliness, I not only show my tootsies, I sport lots of sparkling foot-jewelry.   And, shockingly enough, I’m regularly told, “You have the cutest feet.”  (Really, though, it’s the toe rings.) Through my regular yoga practice, I began “seeing” my feet on a regular basis, and thinking they weren’t so bad, and that in fact, if I gave them a little love it might be a prettier site in Downward Dog!

At the same time, I was going through some life challenges.  One day while getting a pedicure, I noticed the woman next to me was wearing fitted toe rings.  I thought they looked like fun, and a great little pick-me-up.  Fitted toe rings were not easy to find, but once I did, I became addicted to them. Others began stopping me to ask where I got them, and eventually Barefoot Bling was born.  And to think it all blossomed from one chance encounter.
